So I get up to 3rd... and then Jimmy Howard got hurt, and I've never recovered.
I've fallen all the way back down to 8th. My prospects don't look good at this point, even after Steve Mason (?!?!!?!) posted a shutout last night.

| Howard getting injured worked out for me. On my other team, I picked up Joey MacDonald and he put up a 3-0 record w/ a 1.33 GAA and a .944 SP. |

| I lucked out this year. Having the leading goalscorer, shutout leader, and 6 20 goal scorers probably helped. |

Penalty minutes and GWG hurt me. And injuries, although Justin Williams, who some of you criticized me for taking (Primis), played every game. Of course, LA ended up second-last in goals.
My defense:
Enstrom - missed 20 games
Letang - missed 31 games
Meszaros - missed 20 games
Pitkanen - missed 52 games
Whitney - missed 31 games
Girardi - healthy and made the ASG

I got ripped for taking Pacioretty and he potted 33, and Franzen and I think got 29 including 10 GWG. and Hudler 26 so... *raspberries*... Campbell also was a nice pickup as I got like 49A from him.
Every single one of my players accrued stats. That sounds dumb, but I know there are at least a couple people who can't say that. If you can do that, you've won half the battle right there usually.
This year I decided "Screw the goalies" and loaded up on skaters in both this pool and my other H2H league. It worked in the H2H, and got me 4th out of 14 despite not having any keepers (and in both the last 2 matchups I only lost by one). It didn't work in this pool though because the goalies I did get didn't stay healthy/sane. Howard getting hurt was the final nail to my campaign, and Mason was a trainwreck until someone told him his pads were too small.
One of these years...
